February 7, 2015 - Broadminded, a Milwaukee sketch comedy group that's been around longer than the Iron Horse Hotel, presents "Be Our Guest", a new sketch comedy. This show will involve guests in two ways. First - and as always - the sketches will be related to the theme; for example, guest speakers on TV shows, guest books at weddings, and even house guests that, "like fish, begin to smell after 3 days" (wise words from our old pal Ben). Additionally, the broads have invited some local comedians to collaborate on few sketches; those guests will be treated to the full broadminded backstage experience, including swedish fish, coke zero, and juicy broad gossip. See the show on April 3, 4, 10 and 11 at 7:30 pm at Theatre Unchained's space on 1024 S. 5th St (formerly Carte Blanche Studios, which hosted the broads in 2012). The show is produced by Milwaukee Comedy, Inc and is appropriate for ages 13 and up. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door; new this show, a the broads are offering 6-packs of tickets for $60. Broadminded knows how to treat a guest; Stacy works for a hotel chain, Melissa recently hosted a fetus, Megan has worked as a waitress, bartender and maid, and Anne used to give campus tours. They all like to offer people beverages and hot towels.

February 1, 2014 - After eight years of writing and performing their own sketch comedy, the ladies of Broadminded know a few things about DIY (aka Do-It-Yourself). Need a giant mitten costume? Record it on a borrowed camcorder and delve into iMovie. So, it should come as no surprise that they're tackling Do-It-Yourself topics like self help, home improvement, and Pinterest projects gone wrong in their new show, DIY.
